
The No. 1 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team defeated UW-La Crosse, 6-4, in the first game, and 10-3, in the second game of a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader Sunday afternoon in La Crosse, Wis.
With the Game 1 victory, the Warhawks (31-6 overall, 20-4 WIAC) clinched WIAC regular season championship outright, good for the program’s 18th WIAC regular season championship and the team’s fifth in the last six years.
In the opener, senior pitcher Austin Jones (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) tossed the first seven innings, improving his season record to 7-2, and posted six strikeouts. Freshman pitcher Westin Muir (St. Charles, Ill./North) pitched the next inning and a half and junior pitcher Michael Kaska (Spring Grove, Ill./Richmond-Burton Community) finished out the game for his first save of the year.
In the second game, Kaska tossed the first five innings for UW-Whitewater, improving his season record to 9-1. Freshman pitcher Matt O’Sullivan (Sugar Grove, Ill./Kaneland) pitched the next three innings and collected two strikeouts, and sophomore Riley Gruetzmacher (Oconto Falls, Wis./Oconto Falls) finished out the game at the mound.








Fort Community Credit Union (FCCU) announced today that Jeffery Anderson has joined their team as the Marketing and Digital Media Specialist. In this role, Anderson will perform a range of marketing support duties related to the development and execution of FCCU’s brand, including production and execution of video and digital media marketing campaigns, community outreach, and website optimization. He will also be responsible for ensuring FCCU’s brand integrity across multiple advertising channels. Anderson earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration in International Business with a Certificate in Digital Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Anderson is a native of the Madison area and has held an internship with FCCU for the past year. He is excited to continue to grow with FCCU and engage with financial literacy in the schools.
