Whippets Tennis conference tournament results

From Coach Dittmer:

Whitewater took 7th in our tennis conference tournament. McFarland took 1st place. Our 3 singles player Nick Kuzoff took 5th with a win against East Troy in the consolation bracket. Our #1 singles player Slate Spear also had a good tournament. After losing his first match to Big Foot, he rebounded nicely. Slate concluded the day with a great comeback win against Edgerton 6-7(7), 7-5, 10-3.

Even though our doubles teams didn’t finish in a great spot, we certainly had our chances to upset some teams. All three of our doubles teams, unfortunately, lost match-tiebreaks during the tournament. Joe Creanza took on the #2 seed in his first match and although Joe lost, he gave the higher seed everything he could handle. Well, it was not reflected in our final place, but I thought we played very well during the tournament.
