Washington Student Council raises money for The Treehouse

The Student Council at Washington Elementary School recently completed the first step of a year long service project benefiting The Treehouse, the Walworth County child advocacy center located in Elkhorn. Students made fleece blankets to donate for the children visiting the Treehouse. In addition, students sold coffee and hot chocolate at the recent Washington Winter Wonderland event and raised $50. Nicci Erdmann, an employee of the Treehouse, came to Washington to accept the blankets and the money. Another $88 has already been raised for donation through the purchase of “Caring Canes” at Washington’s Winter Sing!
