Daniel R. Brown, 58, of Palmyra, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
Dan was born on April 24, 1968 in Waukesha the son of Harold “Charlie” and Helen (Peardon) Brown. He grew up in the Palmyra area and was a 1986 graduate of Palmyra High School. Dan worked as a commercial insulator for Complete Thermal Systems for over 30 years. He also owned and operated his own insulation business with his son. Dan was always busy and valued hard work and providing for his family. He took pride in the jobs he did and his care and attention to detail kept his schedule full with word-of-mouth customers. For Dan, it was the relationships with the people around him that drove his work and his love for his job. Dan was blessed with five children, Danielle, Josh, Nathan, Robby and Andrew. He was a proud dad and grandpa and would do anything for his family. Dan will be remembered for his work ethic, his sense of humor, his sarcasm, and his soft heart. He was the type of man who would give you the shirt off his back and he never hesitated to help a family member or friend in need. For leisure, he enjoyed snowmobiling, cooking, and spending time with his family and especially his grandkids. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those he leaves behind.
He is survived by: his children, Danielle (Ryan) Larson of Menomonee Falls, Josh Brown of Milwaukee, Nathan (Kendra Fleck) Lathrop of Fort Atkinson, Robby (Olivia Persinger) Lathrop of Whitewater, and Andrew Lathrop of Whitewater; the love of his life and mother of his children, Brenda Brown of Palmyra, his grandchildren, Charlee, Jordyn, Leah, Caleb, Zach, Evan, Alexis, Trinity, Phoenix, and one on the way; his mother, Helen Brown of Palmyra, his brother, Dave (Connie) Brown of Palmyra; and his nieces Lynnette, Sheri, and Arianna. Dan is further survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harold “Charlie” Brown and his dear grandson, Isaac Brown.
A Funeral Service for Dan will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Eagle (499 Elkhorn Road, Eagle, WI 53119). Visitation will take place from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Dan will be laid to rest in Melendy’s Prairie Cemetery at a later date.
