Brewers Win Their First World Series! Parade announced

Milwaukee threw a parade for the Brewers when they didn’t win the World Series in 1982, but this time the parade will celebrate the Brewers’ first World Series win, in their 57th season. The Series lasts as long as seven games, with the winner being the team that’s the first to win four games. The Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays in the fifth game of the series. The parade will be on Friday at 10 a.m., followed by a ticketed rally at the Henry Maier Festival Park amphitheater. The parade will begin on Wisconsin Avenue and end at the lakefront, with an expected crowd of around 400,000 people. [Note: one source stated that the parade will begin at 9 a.m.; please watch for confirmation of the time.]

Jackson Chourio made 11 hits in the Series. He is only the second player all-time to achieve 10 hits in the first four games.

The Willie Mays Most Valuable Player for the Series was the catcher, “Pit Bull” William Contreras. By the way, he won 10 out of 13 challenges.

Relief pitcher Aaron Ashby holds the record for the longest scoreless streak for a reliever in an MLB postseason, at 18 innings.

Eight 2-out runs in the fifth inning of the fourth game are most in an inning in World Series history and 2nd-most in any postseason inning

It was estimated that there were over 10,000 Brewers fans watching the last two games in Tropicana Stadium in St. Petersburg, FL. Watch parties in American Family Field drew over 30,000 fans.

The Brewers won 103 games in their regular season, the best in MLB.

Pat Murphy was named The Sporting News’ National League Manager of the Year for the third straight season, becoming the first National League manager to win the award in each of his first three seasons as a full-time MLB manager. The Sporting News has awarded annual honors every season since 1925.

If there was any disappointment, it was that the Brewers’ play-by-play announcer for 54 seasons, Bob Uecker, wasn’t there to celebrate. “He’s smiling, man, he’s smiling. I really wish he could’ve been here to see this,” an emotional Christian Yelich said in a postgame interview on Fox Sports. “That would have meant everything. He’s been with us a lot.” Since Uecker’s death in January 2025, Pat Murphy at special celebrations has often shared “Uecker letters or texts” with the team. The “Murphy letters from Uecker” are his creative, Uecker family‑approved tributes that mix Uecker’s humor with Brewers’ pride, turning post‑game celebrations into memorable moments for players, fans, and the city.
