Medication Take Back Event on February 28

Did you know that most people who misuse medications get them from friends or relatives?

You can take steps to prevent prescription drug abuse by 1). Locking up your medications; 2) Taking inventory of your prescription medications; and 3). Disposing of old and unused medications.

In partnership with the Jefferson County Drug Free Coalition, Jefferson County Solid Waste/Air Quality Committee, And Whitewater Police Department, Fairhaven Senior Services (435 W. Starin Road, Whitewater, WI) will be hosting a drug take back event in Fellowship Hall on Thursday, February 28th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Bring your old or unused medications as well as SHARPS and mercury thermometers from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. No questions asked.

At 11:00am, Detective Hintz of the Whitewater Police Department will provide a brief discussion on opiate abuse.
