Upcoming Road Projects in the City

Janesville Street from Walworth Avenue to the railroads tracks is currently scheduled for road work starting on
Tuesday, September 6.
The contractor will mill off up to 2 inches of concrete pavement on Tuesday,
September 6, and return on Thursday, September 8, to place asphalt. Painting is scheduled for Friday,
September 9. The contractor is anticipating keeping one lane of traffic open in each direction during the
project.
Motorists can still expect some minor delays due to construction vehicles entering and exiting the work
area. Motorists are urged to use caution in the tight construction zone.

Work will also be occurring on Newcomb Street between E. Milwaukee Street and Clay Street and on Bishop
Street between Newcomb Street and Clay Street.
The contractor will be removing the asphalt on Tuesday,
September 6, and placing asphalt pavement on Thursday September 8. These two streets will be closed to
thru traffic but open for residents residing on those streets.
