Richard Trewyn Celebrates 90th Birthday

Richard (Dick) Trewyn of Whitewater will celebrate his 90th birthday on October 25, 2022. Richard was born October 25th, 1932, as the 8th child of John and Nellie Trewyn, who had 17 children.

Dick spent his early years living with and working for two farming families, and then served in the military from July 1955 to July 1957. He married the love of his life, Arlene (Geske) Trewyn on October 5th, 1957. The couple have two children, Donna (William) Knilans and Bill (Bridget) Trewyn, and 3 grandchildren, Kayla (Angus Wan) Knilans, Jason (Melanie Hayes) Knilans, and Signe Trewyn.

Dick worked for Winchester True Value Hardware for 55 years, retiring at the age of 80. He enjoys fishing, gardening, giving treats to the neighborhood dogs and has served on the First English Lutheran Church’s Building and Grounds committee for more than 60 years.
