Marjorie Stoneman Receives Hometown Hero Award

Marjorie Stoneman was awarded the WUL Hometown Hero Award on Tuesday, May 19, “For her Dedication of Time, Talent, and Treasure in the Whitewater Community. She inspires people to pay it forward and leads by example. She has enthusiastically worked on both large and small scale projects to benefit the Whitewater community and beyond. Projects include Chairperson for WUL, “Lunch Fixings For Kids” for summer lunches for Whitewater students, and Birthday Drive-By during COVID Crisis Pandemic.”

Julie DuVal reported, “To her surprise and with her humble heart she said, ‘I don’t deserve this..’ But she does…”

WUL (Whitewater Unites Lives) is a locally-focused civil and human rights group that works to connect the people in our community and to create opportunities for all people to learn and support each other in our common humanity.
