Joseph (Joe) Tenpenny, born on September 26, 1941 to Charles and Doris Tenpenny died on Monday, February 19th in Abrazo Heart Hospital in Phoenix, AZ.

Joe graduated from Whitewater High School in 1959. During his 23 years in the United States Navy, he graduated from Southwestern College in 1975. After retiring he and his wife, Jan, settled in Arizona. They enjoyed 41 wonderful years together and went on a lot of cruises seeing many countries of our world.

Joe is survived by his wife Jan; step-son and buddy Bill Stephens; sisters Ellie (Wayne) LeMacher of Fort Atkinson and Mary Lou (Bob) Domiter of Las Vegas; and son-in-law Patrick Hurst of Pekin, IN. He was also survived by his favorite granddaughters Sally (Kevin) Palmer and 2 sons of Chesapeake, VA; Katherine Hurst of Pekin, IN; Victoria (Mark) Hurst Norvell, USN and son of Virginia Beach, VA; and Victoria Davis of San Diego, CA; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, younger brother Jack, step-daughters Susan Hurst and Laurie Davis and first wife Carleen.

Joe will be inurned in a private ceremony at the Prescott (AZ) National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on March 14, 2018, followed by a celebratory party with food, friends, and frolic at his home in North Ranch, AZ.
