Harold William Holst, 88 Whitewater passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, WI.

Harold was born on July 27, 1929, in Chicago, Il to George and Mae Holst.  He married Betty Jane Loshe on June 6, 1953. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2006.  Harold was employed as a machinist for Weiler Inc. from 1969 until his retirement in 1992.  Harold was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.  He was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Whitewater.

He is survived by his children Robert Holst, Monroe, WI, Kenneth (Kathryn) Holst, Whitewater, Marianne (Kurt) Wallace, Whitewater, Brian (Sarah) Holst, Menomonee Falls, WI; grandchildren Robert Holst Jr., Susanne (Mike) Strothman, David (Cindy) Holst, Daniel Holst, Amy Holst, Christy Maltby, Lance Maltby, Adam Maltby, Britteny, Elisabeth, Julia and George Holst; 6 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son Wayne Holst.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018, at 2:00 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 116 S. Church St., Whitewater, WI 53190.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater. The family would like to thank Chad and Jenny at Mulberry Glen for their kindness and care.
