Daylight Savings Time will end this Sunday, November 7 at 2 a.m. You’ll want to turn back your clocks one hour before you go to bed on Saturday.
This is a perfect time of year to check items in our homes that keep us safe and prepared for emergencies such as smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Check household safety items that may be
overlooked throughout the year:
o Smoke detectors
o Carbon monoxide detectors
o Furnaces and wood burning stoves
o Fire extinguishers
Create or update your emergency kits for the home and vehicle(s)
o Swap out summer items for winter items (blankets, shovel)
o Make sure to restock and check expiration dates:
Flashlights, batteries, cell phone chargers
Food, first aid supplies (don’t forget a manual can opener!)
