“Fall Back” – Daylight Savings Time Ended Sunday 2 a.m.

Daylight Savings Time will end this Sunday, November 7 at 2 a.m. You’ll want to turn back your clocks one hour before you go to bed on Saturday.

This is a perfect time of year to check items in our homes that keep us safe and prepared for emergencies such as smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

 Check household safety items that may be
overlooked throughout the year:
o Smoke detectors
o Carbon monoxide detectors
o Furnaces and wood burning stoves
o Fire extinguishers

 Create or update your emergency kits for the home and vehicle(s)
o Swap out summer items for winter items (blankets, shovel)
o Make sure to restock and check expiration dates:
 Flashlights, batteries, cell phone chargers
 Food, first aid supplies (don’t forget a manual can opener!)
