WHS Tennis team has busy week, wins 4

The Whitewater Girls’ Tennis Team finished a very busy week on Thursday, Aug. 23, with a 7-0 win over Ft. Atkinson. The win gave the team a 4-1 record for the week, and an 8-5 record overall.

Earlier in the week, the Whippets defeated Columbus 7-0 and then placed 2nd in the Delavan-Darien Quad with a 5-2 win over Waterford and a 7-0 win over Delavan-Darien. The championship match of the day saw the Whippets fall to Elkhorn 6-1.

This Monday, Whitewater begins conference play against defending conference champion, Jefferson. The match, scheduled to begin at 9 am, is in Jefferson.
