Whippets Split Matches in Girls’ Opening Tennis Invite

The Whippet Girls’ Tennis Team started the year off in Fort Atkinson as they split dual matches at the East Troy Invitational. The Whippets won their first dual of the year against Edgerton in a 7-0 sweep against the Crimson Tide.

In their second dual match, the Whippets lost to the Monroe Cheesemakers 6-1. The highlight of this dual featured a match against the #1 singles player, sophomore Taryn Rothwell of Whitewater, who won a highly contested match 6-3, 6-6 (7-5) in a second-set tiebreaker against Monroe’s senior Adeline Eckerman. Rothwell went undefeated for the day.
