Vehicle vs. House Crash in Town of Lima

Editor’s note: The following press release was provided by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

On 09-30-2026 at 6:15 a.m. Rock County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a vehicle vs house
crash in the 13000 block of E HWY 59 in the Town of Lima, Rock County. Upon investigation
it was determined a passenger car was eastbound on E HWY 59 attempting to negotiate a curve.
It was raining at the time of the crash and the roadway was wet. The driver, an 18-year-old male
of Juda, WI was operating at a speed higher than he could safely negotiate the curve. The car
left the roadway colliding with a fence and then a residence. The house was occupied at the time of
the crash but nobody was injured inside the house or in the vehicle.

Due to the possible structural damage to the residence the occupants will be displaced but have
accommodations. The driver of the car was issued a citation for his actions. Alcohol was not
believed to be a factor with the crash.
