Swimmers Place 7th at Elk Invite

On Saturday, September 13th, the Whitewater Girls’ Swim Team traveled to Elkhorn for the Elk Invite. The Whippets finished 7th out of 11 teams and packed the day full of big swims, new best times, and heat wins! The energy was high, and the improvements keep rolling in each week!

  • 200 Medley Relay A – Charlotte Hajewski, Atreya Wilson, Maggie Maas, Lucy Davis – 11th
  • 200 Medley Relay B – Grace Coleman, Maya Davis, Georgia Esch, Paige Kollwelter – 15th
  • 100 Fly – Charlotte Hajewski – 15th
  • 100 Free – Maggie Maas – 12th, Grace Smith – 16th
  • 400 Free – Charlotte Hajewski – 15th
  • 200 Free Relay A – Maggie Maas, Atreya Wilson, Grace Smith, Charlotte Hajewski – 12th
  • 200 Free Relay B – Emma Maas, Paige Kollwelter, Laken DePorter, Maya Davis – 15th
  • 100 Backstroke – Maggie Maas – 9th
  • 100 Breaststroke – Atreya Wilson – 13th
  • 400 Free Relay A – Grace Coleman, Emma Maas, Grace Smith, Lucy Davis – 11th
  • 400 Free Relay B – Georgia Esch, Laken DePorter, Maya Davis, Storm DePorter – 16th

Georgia Esch 🏅 won her heat in the 50 Freestyle with a new best time!

Jalayne Hanson 🚀 continues to improve, dropping another second in the 50 Freestyle!

Grace Smith, Emma Maas, and Laken DePorter went 1–2–3 🥇🥈🥉 in their heat of the 100 Freestyle!

All 100 Backstroke swimmers (Maggie Maas, Grace Coleman, Caitlin Alford, Paige Kollwelter) went best times 🙌 — plus Storm DePorter gave it a go for the first time and swam awesome!

Atreya Wilson knocked 2 seconds off her 100 Breaststroke 💪!

The Whippets continue to build momentum and show off their hard work in the pool. What a great day of racing! 🏊‍♀️🐾

The team’s next meet will be Tuesday, September 16th at Lake Geneva against Badger and Platteville/Lancaster. Swimming starts at 5:30pm – come cheer on the Whippets!
