Rainbow Community Care, in collaboration with local health and community partners, invites area residents to clear out their medicine cabinets and connect with local wellness resources during the upcoming RX Round Up & Resource Day.
The free, drop-in community event will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fairhaven Senior Services – Olm Fellowship Hall, located at 435 W. Starin Rd. in Whitewater.
Designed to promote home safety, health education, and proper disposal methods, the morning features a secure drug take-back for unused or expired medications alongside health screenings and information tables.
Event Highlights & Ongoing Activities (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
Safe Medication Disposal: A secure drop-off site for safely disposing of unused or expired prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications.
Free Blood Pressure Checks: On-site wellness monitoring for attendees.
Community Resource Tables: Information and connections provided by local healthcare and advocacy organizations.
Advance Care Planning: Guidance and materials to help individuals plan for future healthcare decisions.

Throughout the morning, local experts will lead a series of informative presentations:
9:00 a.m. – Vaccines & Medication Education presented by McCullough’s LTC
Pharmacy
9:30 a.m. – K9 Demonstration presented by the UW-Whitewater Police
Department
10:00 a.m. – Falls & Medications presented by Edgerton Hospital
10:30 a.m. – “Good Drugs Gone Bad” presented by the Rock County Prevention
Network
11:00 a.m. – Narcan Training presented by Walworth County Health & Human
Services
Community Lunch & RSVP
Following the morning’s activities, a free community lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m. While the event is open to the public as a drop-in, RSVPs are required for lunch. Community members can secure their spot by visiting bit.ly/RainbowRX or calling
