Public Service Commission Approves Water Rate Increase for Whitewater

The City of Whitewater will observe a 3% water rate increase effective June 28, 2018, per the approval of the Public Service Commission.

The City of Whitewater currently has the lowest utility rates in the four-county region of Walworth, Jefferson, Rock, and Waukesha. It is also in the 9th percentile of water utilities across Wisconsin, currently ranking it as the 17th lowest rate within 168 class C utilities statewide.

The 3% increase that will take place in June will create necessary reserve funds to allow for future projects including water reservoir or tower replacement and water main improvements or replacements. The increase will also allow the City of Whitewater to keep utilities viable and healthy while maintaining a comparably low rate.

Call 262-473-1383 for further questions relating to water rates or utility services.
