Obituary: Raymond Miles, 96

Raymond Miles, 96, Whitewater, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Our House Senior Living in Whitewater.

Raymond was born on February 10, 1928, in Elkhorn, WI to Rueben and Norma Miles. He served in the US Army. On June 18, 1955, Raymond married Waverly Sutherland in Whitewater, WI. He enjoyed a long and successful career as a Livestock Dealer. In retirement, he cherished time spent with his family and remained informed on the farming community.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Waverly of Whitewater, sons Eddie of Madison and Todd (Barbara) Miles of Sarasota FL, grandchildren Alexandra and Morgan Miles, Madison, brothers David (Joann) Miles, Waunakee, James (Donna) Miles, Fort Atkinson, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers William, Harold and Robert Miles, sister Margaret Aarstad and daughter-in-law Rae Miles.

Funeral Services will be held at the Nitardy Funeral Home in Whitewater, on Sunday, November 24th, at 2 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

Raymond’s family would like to express a special thank you to the Our House Senior Living-Whitewater staff for their excellent care for Raymond.
