Many WHS Gymnasts Score Personal Bests at Platteville Invite

The Whitewater High School Gymnastics team headed to Platteville on Saturday, February 15th, to compete in the 12-team Lisa Steger Memorial Gymnastics Invitational. Out of the 12 teams, there were approximately 60 competitors on each event.

The highlights of the invitational included Jenna Caldwell placing 16th on the Vault, scoring a personal best of 8.325, another personal best on the Uneven Bars, scoring a 7.5, and a 7.5 on the Floor Exercise.

Halee Peters also had a successful meet scoring a 30.7 in the All-Around, 7.95 on the Floor Exercise, 7.35 on the Balance Beam, 7.25 on the Uneven Bars, and an 8.125 on Vault.

Brenda Aguilar scored a personal best on the Balance Beam, scoring 6.9. She also competed Varsity Vault for the first time, scoring a 7.25.

Maddy Donnelly scored a 7.6 on the Vault, and Anna Ejnik scored a 7.9 on the Floor Exercise.

As a team the Whippets scored a 112.675.
