Local Student’s Art Featured in Calendar Publication

Senior Art Student Morgan Stillwagon received a set of calendars in the mail this week, with her artwork featured for the month of May. The calendars were produced by Society’s Assets using the top 12 art submissions from their K-12 art contest. Society’s Assets’ mission statement is, “to ensure the rights of all persons with disabilities to live and function as independently as possible in the community of their choice, through supporting individuals’ efforts to achieve control over their lives and become integrated into community life.” The art contest is called Ability, Not Disability, and entries have to tie into that theme. Morgan has entered this contest for two years now, and both years she has received 3rd place. Morgan is pictured with WHS Art Teacher Crystal Gill.
