Girls’ Basketball Opens at Fort Atkinson

The Whitewater Varsity Girls’ Basketball team lost in their season opener Tuesday night, November 14, at Fort Atkinson. Fort Atkinson jumped out to an early lead and led almost the whole game. The energy and ball movement improved in the second half, and the girls battled the whole game. Whitewater hosts Elkhorn in their home opener on Friday night, November 17!

The Junior Varsity Whippets jumped out to a double-digit first half lead and hung on to win their season opener by one point! It was an exciting 26-25 finish and a great win for a team full of many new players.
