Ferradermis hosts Open House on February 9

Ferradermis, the WHS robotics team, welcomes our sponsors and community members to our open house on Saturday, February 9, from 10:00 until 2:00, at Whitewater High School. Visitors should enter through Door #38 on the northwest corner of the building behind the auditorium and before the auto shop. Most of our team leaders will be attending the Model United Nations conference that weekend, so this will be a great opportunity for our younger members to step up and represent the team. Come check out our workspace and see what the CAD team, programmers, mechanical team, electrical team, competition logistics team, and business team have been up to as they prepare for their March competitions in Duluth and Milwaukee. The team is building two identical robots this year; the competition bot must be sealed in plastic by 11 pm on Tuesday, February 19, but the team can continue to conduct drive practice and make programming improvements using the second bot.

Community members currently have the opportunity to support Ferradermis by purchasing raffle tickets for the Wisconsin FIRST Raffle. Tickets are available from any team member or at First Citizens State Bank in downtown Whitewater for $3 each or 4 tickets for $10. The grand prize in the raffle is $1000, second place is large screen TV, and third place is a laptop.
