Esther Clara (Hartmann) Wiley was born May 6, 1933 and joined her husband Roger Wiley in Heaven on May 18, 2019.

She lived in Whitewater, Wisconsin until she moved to Guntersville, Alabama in 1985 with her husband Roger Wiley. As the daughter of bakers, they instilled in her the joy of baking for friends and family.

Esther’s hobbies included embroidery, drawing, dancing the polka and singing. Throughout her life, she made many lifelong friends who always remained close in her heart. She adored her family and was happiest when visiting with her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl, Sr. and Alice Hartmann, two brothers, Carl Hartmann, Jr. and Ron Hartmann and her husband, high school sweetheart and love of her life, Roger Wiley.

Esther is survived by a brother, Jerry (Lavona) Hartman, two sons, Brad (Janice) Wiley, and Steve (Lori) Wiley, Sr., six grandchildren, Adam (Carolyn) Wiley, Steve (Tina) Wiley, Jr., Meghan (Shaun) Houston, Erin (Joe) Lyons, Ian Wiley, and Christine E. Wiley . Seven great-grandchildren, Lethia Houston, Jennifer Wiley, Julius Staten, Keilan Staten, George Lyons, Robert Lyons, and Alice Wiley. There are also numerous cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 25, 2019 at First English Lutheran Church, 401 W. Main Street, Whitewater, WI from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM with Graveside Services at Hillside Cemetery following the funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to First English Lutheran Church in memory of Esther Wiley or a donation to the charity of your choice.
