Common Council Considering City Manager Appointment on Wednesday

The City of Whitewater Common Council will be holding a special meeting on Wednesday, October 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cravath Lakefront Room on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Building. Per the agenda, the Council will immediately adjourn to closed session, after which there will be an open session with “possible action on appointment of City Manager and possible action on City Manager Employment Contract.” As was previously announced on the Banner, three finalists, James “Jim” Palenick, David R. Porter and John S. Weidl, were to be interviewed on Saturday, October 22. Weidl is currently serving as Interim City Manager, following the resignation of Cameron Clapper.
