
Don’t miss your chance to dispose of household hazardous waste, electronics, appliances, TVs, and tires. Walworth County’s Clean Sweep is happening Friday, October 2, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, October 3, 8 a.m. to noon, at Walworth County Public Works, W4097 County Road NN, in Elkhorn. No registration is required.
What’s accepted and when?
- On Friday, October 2, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., residents may dispose of household hazardous waste only. Acceptable hazardous waste products are those labeled caustic, acid, flammable, danger, warning, or poison. Vape devices are hazardous waste.
- On Saturday, October 3, from 8 a.m. to noon, residents may dispose of household hazardous waste, electronics, TVs, appliances, and tires. Vape devices are hazardous waste.

Jefferson, Walworth, and Waukesha County residents.
How much does it cost?
Household hazardous waste is free. Most electronics, appliances, and computers can be recycled for free with the following exceptions (cash only):
- All TVs: $10 each
- Monitors: $5 each
- Mini fridges, small AC units, and dehumidifiers: $5 each
- Refrigerators and freezers: $10 each
- Tires with 20-inch rims or smaller: $5 each for tires without rims and $10 each for tires with rims.
