The Whippet Varsity Baseball Team lost a tough game on Thursday night, May 6, to Evansville, by a score of 7-2.

The Whippets got an outstanding pitching performance from Marcus DePorter. Whitewater held a 2-0 lead going into the 6th inning, but unfortunately, a few costly errors and hits allowed the Blue Devils to score seven runs in that inning.

There were a lot of positive things that happened for the Whippets, including turning their first two double plays on the year.

The Whippets will be back in action on Friday, May 7, in Jefferson, at 4:45 p.m.
