deconstruct/reconstruct– the new “POP ART”
“From Pop Can to Pop Art” by Dawn Hunter, Thursday, August 23, 1-3 pm
Dawn recycles aluminum cans into a mosaic/collage creations The images vary from realistic to abstract, with some of the pieces having a 3-D construction quality. Watch Dawn’s intriguing process in which she re-uses aluminum cans and insulation scraps along with wire nails. A once empty can is deconstructed and reconstructed into a piece of beautiful and unique recycled art – the new “POP ART”.

The Making Magic with Mixed Media exhibit is open through August 26th. Gallery hours are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon until 5 pm.
