Adopt-A-Highway Season Opens

(Walworth County Highway Dept. press release)
ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY SEASON
APRIL 1 – NOVEMBER 1

Please be aware of the Adopt-A-Highway groups as you are traveling Walworth County roads. You may
encounter groups of volunteers cleaning up trash on the side of state and county roads to improve our
county’s aesthetics.

If you currently maintain a section and are in need of supplies, please contact Walworth County Public
Works for replenishment (262-741-3367). Please remember to be aware of your surroundings and to make
this a safe and productive volunteer program. Do not pick up litter on medians, bridges, in tunnels,
overpasses or around other structures that would pose a danger. If you see suspicious items, do not touch
the item, contact Walworth County Public Works (262-741-3114, Option 1).

If you are part of or know of a group that is interested in adopting a road section to maintain, please contact
Walworth County Public Works for information (262-741-3367).
