WHS Sophomore Julia Bezzo’s stippling piece, The Iguana, Won a Prestigious Award. Stippling is the creation of a pattern simulating varying degrees of solidity or shading by using small dots.

Sophomore Julia Bezzo’s stippling piece, The Iguana, won a Silver Key in the Scholastic Art Competition for Drawing and Illustration. This is a prestigious award; thousands of students enter this competition, and colleges will take this into consideration when determining admissions. Her piece will be on display at the Milwaukee Art Museum in the Schroeder Galleria from February 1st through March 15th. The awards ceremony is February 8th at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
