Eleven students from Whitewater High School traveled to France towards the end of June with French Teacher Alecia Pasdera and Spanish Teacher Kate McNulty. Students had the chance to practice their French language skills and observe French culture firsthand in cities throughout France. 

Highlights from the trip include sightseeing in Paris, visiting famous cathedrals and castles in the Loire Valley, seeing low-tide at Mont St Michel, swimming in the English Channel in St Malo, and visiting the D-Day beaches at Normandy during the same month as the 75th anniversary of D-Day. 

It was a busy 9 days of travel, tours, eating French cuisine, and exploring new places. Students who went on the trip were graduates Jaden Henneman and Alisha Parboteeah; incoming seniors Hailey Prager, Kitana Volbright, Alex Wilson, and Ellie Treder; juniors Evan Schepp and Will Hofmann; and sophomores Mackenzie LaFlash, Brennan Fox-Simes, and Morgan Hartwell.
