WHS Boys swimming wins meet vs Jefferson/Cambridge

The Whippets were able to win every race against Jefferson/Cambridge on Thursday, January 3rd. Posting wins for the team were: 200 Medley Relay Aidan Coburn, Young Liang, Shawn Chan and Micheal Kuhl, 200 Freestyle Relay Devin Bazeley, Michael Kuhl, Jonathan Zheng and Jack Mayer, 400 Freestyle Relay Jack Mayer, Devin Bazeley, Aidan Coburn and Young Liang, Michael Kuhl won both the 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke, Devin Bazeley won the 200 Individual Medley, Shawn Chan on the 100 Butterfly, Jack Mayer won the 50 and 100 Freestyle and Young Liang won the 500 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke.

We had 3 Top 10 All Time swims including Devin Bazeley in the 50 Freestyle, Shawn Chan in the 100 Butterfly and Young Liang in the 500 Freestyle.

We had a bunch of other standout swims with Shawn Chan winning the 100 Butterfly after dropping 7 seconds and Jon Zheng swam a great 50 Freestyle dropping almost a full second. We had Jovany and Jonathan Manriquez both take on the 500 Freestyle with great results and Young Liang did a great job breaking 5 minutes at a mid season meet – very impressive! Other big drops came from Wesley Salverson dropping 3 seconds in the 200 Individual Medley, Zach Tomomitsu dropping 3 seconds in the 50 Freestyle and 9 seconds in the 100 Backstroke, Jovany Manriquez dropped 12 seconds in the 100 Butterfly, Shawn Chan dropped 7 seconds 100 Butterfly and Jon Chan dropped 12 seconds in the 100 Breaststroke.

The boys are racing well! We will be at the Connor Bourke Relays on Saturday!
