Great things continue to happen for the Whippet boys swim team! Our team had a great meet at the Milton Invitational this weekend! We had several medal winning races along with many best times!

Earning medals for the Whippets were:
3rd place, Varsity 200 Medley Relay – Michael Kuhl, Devin Bazeley, Jack Mayer, Shawn Chan
2nd place, JV 200 Freestyle – Wesley Salverson
3rd place, JV 200 Freestyle – Antonio Aranda
2nd place, Varsity 200 Individual Medley – Devin Bazeley
1st place, Varsity 50 Freestyle – Jack Mayer
3rd place, Varsity 50 Freestyle – Shawn Chan
3rd place, Varsity 100 Butterfly – Devin Bazeley
1st place, Varsity 100 Freestyle – Jack Mayer
2nd place, Varsity 500 Freestyle – Michael Kuhl
3rd place, Varsity 100 Backstroke – Michael Kuhl
1st place, Varsity 400 Freestyle Relay – Shawn Chan, Devin Bazeley, Michael Kuhl, Jack Mayer

Earning best times for the Whippets were:
Wesley Salverson – 200 Freestyle & 100 Breaststroke (-2 seconds)
Jon Manriquez – 200 Freestyle (-2.5 seconds)
Antonio Aranda – 200 Freestyle (-5 seconds)
Jovany Manriquez – 200 Freestyle & 100 Breaststroke (-12 seconds)
Devin Bazeley – 200 Individual Medley
Jon Chan – 50 Freestyle (-8 seconds)
Shawn Chan – 50 Freestyle (-.5 seconds) & 100 Freestyle (-1 second)
Devin Bazeley – 100 Butterfly
Zach Tomomitsu – 100 Freestyle
Michael Kuhl – 500 Freestyle (-5 seconds)

Devin Bazeley was able to post 2 times to the Top 10 All Time list. He is now 6th in the 200 Individual Medley and 8th all time in the 100 Butterfly. Jovany Manriquez dropped 50 seconds off his 200 Freestyle practice time while racing. Zach Tomomitsu was able to race well with the addition of some nice block starts and by using flipturns at all walls. Michael Kuhl raced hard into the 100 Backstroke finish touching out the 4th place finisher by just .06 seconds with a great finish. Jack Mayer continues to put in strong races, winning both of his individuals and a relay. The boys are really practicing well and we are really seeing some great improvements from just a week ago.
