Youth Apprenticeship Information Session
Are you interested in getting your foot in the door with high school students? Do you want to increase your skilled workforce? Consider the Department of Workforce Development Youth Apprenticeship program. This allows junior and senior high school students to gain both technical and employability skills with guidance from a mentor in your business. Youth Apprenticeship program career areas include the following: Agriculture, Food, & Natural Resources, Architecture & Construction, Art, AV Technology & Communications, Finance, Health Science, Hospitality, Lodging & Tourism, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Marketing, STEM, and Transportation, Distribution, & Logistics. While the students are in their apprenticeship worksite, they are also taking classes at their high school related to their position.
