From Coach Judy Harms:

Oregon won a back & forth battle tonight over the visiting Whippet girls’ basketball team, 54-55, in a non-conference contest.  Oregon played with a strong fire coming out of the half after trailing by 8. Overall, I thought our girls did a great job playing together as a team despite Miranda Reynolds sidelined.  First half we did a nice job at both ends of the court, especially in grabbing boards and holding their big, Ellen McCorkle to only one bucket.  2nd half McCorkle was more difficult to control, as we gave up 8 of her 10 points.  Defensively we absolutely did not contain their 3’s, which was very frustrating and the big difference in the game.

Allison Heckert led the Whippets with 19 points and 9 Rebounds.  Ali Ketterhagen scored 13 points while Abby Grosinske finished with 10.

JV Game was won by Oregon.
