In a recent interview for the Daily Jefferson County Union, first-year Whippet Football Head Coach Michael Maas shared his message to his team – be the change.

“We have the athletes and they committed this year,” said Maas, a 2001 WHS grad and business teacher at the school. “These guys have worked their butts off in the weight room and are intelligent. Now it’s up to them deciding they want to be the change. Old habits are hard to break, but we believe this crew has what it takes to do so.”

The Whippets open their non-conference season at Dodgeland on Friday, August 21.
