Two Doubles Teams Advance to Sectional Tennis

On Monday, May 20, the Whitewater Boys’ Tennis Team competed in the subsectional tournament at East Troy. The 1 doubles team of Emerson Ellenwood and Yovanni Rojas-Reyes defeated Big Foot 6-2 6-2 and will now face Edgewood for an opportunity to participate in the state tournament. The 3 doubles team of Hugo Portales and Emmanuel Mbifi defeated Jefferson 6-1 6-4 and then pulled through in the 3rd set to defeat Edgerton 6-4 1-6 10-5. They will now also play Edgewood in the semifinals of sectionals on Wednesday, May 22.
