No. 24 UWW Men’s Basketball Downs No. 25 St. John’s

The No. 24 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men’s basketball team used a 13-0 run late in the second half to pull away from 25th-ranked St. John’s (Minn.) in a back-and-forth non-conference affair Friday night, posting an 83-72 triumph at Kachel Gymnasium.

The Warhawks (2-0 overall) turned a 57-55 deficit with 7:24 remaining into a 68-57 advantage three minutes later as senior guards Andre Brown (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trail) and Mitchell Pfeifer (Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine) scored 11 of the 13 points during the spurt.
