PTAC is an abbreviation for “party to a crime.” Party to a crime is a legal term that alleges that someone who was not the primary actor in a crime was ready, willing, and able to assist in the commission of the offense.
It is a cardinal principle of our system of justice that every person accused of a crime is presumed to be innocent unless and until his or her guilt is established beyond a reasonable doubt.
