Kiwanis Breakfast Club Cleans Up Hwy 12 in LaGrange

Pictured here are two of the four Kiwanians, Steve Smith (L) and Lynn Binnie, with some of the trash they removed. There was also some recycling:  Steve said there was nothing wrong with the bucket he was holding, so he would be taking it home for collecting black walnuts.

Editor’s note: The following information was provided by the Kiwanis Whitewater Breakfast Club.

Several Members of the Kiwanis Whitewater Breakfast Club spent Saturday morning on October 9 helping to keep the highway clean via the Adopt-A-Highway program.

Steve Smith, Steve Ryan, Lynn Binnie and Rick Halvorson picked up 11 bags of garbage on Highway 12 in LaGrange.

“Serving our community is a primary purpose of our club.  Cleaning up the highway, which has been our responsibility since 1990, is one of many contributions that our members make,” said Lynn Binnie, coordinator of the Kiwanis Adopt-A-Highway program.
