Irvin L. Young Memorial Library New Services,

NEW AT THE LIBRARY

Our Convert and Archive Memories (CAM) service is live! We will be offering a paid service to patrons to convert their videos, photos, and music for them from old formats to newer, digital formats. There is an order form with pricing at the front desk. The things we can convert are photos, negatives, and 35mm slides; 33/45/78 rpm vinyl records and cassette tapes; VHS and camcorder tapes.  Pricing is by the hour as all conversions must be done in real time.  The cost is $18 per hour; $9 per half-hour.  Patrons may still do their own conversions for free.  This service is being offered to those who would like their items converted but do not have the time to do it themselves.  We cannot convert copyrighted material such as favorite movies that are still in VHS format.

LUCKY DAY

You know how you wait and wait and wait for that bestseller that you really want to read to become available and maybe you put a hold on it and maybe you don’t? Well, if you’re lucky, you may find a copy on our Lucky Day cart and you can just take it home right away. These copies can’t be placed on hold; you just have to come in and see what you might find waiting.  Look for the yellow cart with the shamrocks on it!
