Frances E. Simes, age 95, formerly of Whitewater passed away December 14, 2018 in Kaukauna, WI surrounded by her family.

She was born April 24, 1923, in Janesville WI to Roy and Mary (Brummond) Millard. She attended the School of Cosmetology in Madison WI.

Frances married Lance Simes on October 25, 1951. Prior to her marriage, she worked as a beautician and after her marriage was a homemaker.

Frances was a member of First United Methodist Church of Whitewater. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, baking and formal holiday dinners with family.

She is survived by her three children Mary Simes, Jeff (Diana) Simes, and Anita Simes, two grandchildren Jered Simes and Chad Simes, two great grandchildren Kara Simes and Aubree Simes, and a sister and brother-in-law Ruth (Lorraine) Orrick. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Chet (Harriet) Millard, and sister Beatrice (Ernie) Kleimenhagen and infant sister.

Frances’ service will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church, 145 South Prairie St. Whitewater WI. Friends may meet the family from 10 AM until the time of service.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church of Whitewater or the American Cancer Society.
