Edward J. Craft passed away at the Sienna Crest assisted living in Fort Atkinson.

He was born in Walworth, WI and was the adopted son of Howard and Ruth Craft. They moved to Beloit where Ed started his education. When Ed was 16 he moved to Whitewater to attend College High and then go to Whitewater State Teachers College where he graduated in 1950. Ed and Janet Martin were married at the Congregational Church on August 5, 1950.

He started his career at the Wisconsin knife works and later he became a partner in the Lakeland Sport shop and marina in 1955. In 1960 Ed chose to work for Outboard Marine Corporation. In 1962 Ed decided to go to work for Borg Fabrics where he stayed for several years. He then went to work for Monterey Mills in Janesville, WI. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. After Ed retired in 1993 Ed and Janet would spend winters in AZ.

Ed is survived by his wife Janet, one son Tom, 2 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Ed was a member of the U.C.C. Congregational Church, the Whitewater Country Club and the Masonic lodge in Whitewater.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Whitewater.

Visitation will be after 10AM on Tuesday at the church until the time of the services.

Memorials can be made to the Whitewater Food Pantry.
