Corey Jevon Mattert, 48, Oak Creek, WI, formerly of Palmyra, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, WI.

Corey was born on June 18, 1970 in Waukesha, WI to William and Helen (Migach) Mattert. He attended Palmyra High School. Corey enjoyed nature and riding his bicycle everywhere. Corey would often record his adventures on video and wrote poetry and music. He loved to pull pranks and make people laugh. In 2017 Corey met the love of his life, Chelise Kubacki.

He is survived by his soulmate Chelise Kubacki and her daughters Savannah and Layla, Oak Creek; sons Shawn Burg, Arizona, Levi Mattert, Texas; 3 grandchildren; sister Sandra (Dennis) Kling, Dousman, WI, William (Jean) Mattert, Whitewater, WI, Rickie (Jody) Mattert, Hartland, WI, Timothy (Melody) Mattert, Paducah, KY; his best friend, David Syck, Palmyra, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 3:00pm at Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 550 N. Newcomb St. Whitewater, WI 53190. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00pm until the time of the service.
