Audrey Chandler Elkins, 98 formerly of Burlington went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 25, 2019 in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

She was born in Caswell county to the late Junious Beard and Mattie Glenn Boswell Chandler.

Audrey was a seamstress for many years. She was a longtime member of Grove Park Baptist church, member of the choir and hand bell choir and the Ruth Sunday School class. She made the communion bread for many years and was a former nursery worker. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia “Pat” Carlton and husband, Leroy of Hamptonville, NC , Sandra “Sandy” Elkins of Burlington and Billie Jo Norman and husband, Don of Whitewater, WS; grandchildren, Leslie Adams, Jonathan Norman and Dawn Evans; great grandchildren, Lilly, Sarah, Joseph and Charles Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Juanita Simmons and a brother, Wilson Chandler.

 A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Grove Park Baptist Church by Rev. Marc Smith, Rev. Rodger Roach and Dr. Gene Hunsinger with burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Friday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
