She was born on April 26, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Helen (Reinhardt) Bellgrau. Patricia grew up on her family’s farm in Lake Zurich, Illinois and graduated from Grayslake High School in 1960.
On July 29, 1961, Patricia married Frank Welch in Mundelein, Illinois and together they had two sons and a daughter. They moved to their farm in Lima Center in 1973.
Patricia worked on their family farm and then later became a nurse’s assistant at Fairhaven Assisted Living in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
Patricia enjoyed horses, baking homemade bread, sewing, Christmas trees, and her dogs.
