Chili Cook-off 2019 at Freeze Fest sign-up deadline extended to February 6

Do you make an incredible chili? Are you interested in helping raise funds for Special Olympics? Then the Freeze Fest Chili Cook-off is for you. Get together a group of people, your club, group, church or business and make it an event! The best part is you don’t have to plunge and you get to promote your group or business. Prizes are awarded for First Place, Runner-up, People’s Choice and Best Decorated Table. The event is Saturday, February 9 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in the Freeze Fest heated tent at the Cravath Lakefront Park in Whitewater. There is no registration fee!

James Scott Carnes, 61, of Fort Atkinson passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2019.

Jim was born on May 8, 1957, in Fort Atkinson to Fay Ernest and Irene Josephine (Prust) Carnes. He spent his early life living and working on the local family dairy farm, and loved fishing and hunting since he was a young boy.

Jim married highschool sweetheart, Laura Hoffman in 1979 and together they had three loving children. August 18, 2019 marks 40 years of marriage together.
