Ferradermis Hosts Event for Scouts to Earn Coding and Robotics Badges

The Whitewater High School Robotics Team hosted 23 Junior and Cadette Girl Scouts from Jefferson, Fort Atkinson, and Cambridge at Whitewater High School on Saturday, September 13, helping the girls earn their Coding Basics and Programming Robots badges. The girls worked through a variety of activities in the morning and then spent the afternoon focused on using LEGO Spike Essentials kits to solve some of the missions from the last two FIRST LEGO League games. They ended the day with the opportunity to drive the Ferradermis robots before being awarded their badges and selecting door prizes for their troops.

Ferradermis members planning and assisting with the event included Sam Raupp, Erison Dreksler, Elora Wildermuth-Breitzman, Nina Heim, Rae Breisath, Emilie Bruns, Letty Trautman, Virginia Nelson, Ace Hudec, Cooper Housel, Preston Miller, Carson Miller, Mason Genung, and Vivian Harris.
