Financial Fitness Family Night at Whitewater Library April 18

Editor’s Note: The following was provided by the Whitewater Public Library.

The Irvin L Young Memorial Library is celebrating Money Smart Week by hosting a Financial Fitness Family Night in partnership with PremierBank and budgeting coach, Mariah Sprain. This free event is Tuesday, April 18 at 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Activities include a special story time, activities, and games that promote financial literacy for children of all ages.  Adults and teens will have the opportunity to learn how budgeting and money management can improve your life and help you gain financial freedom.

Sprain states that “financial literacy is a topic near to my heart, as education around money tends to be lacking. Many people believe that living paycheck to paycheck, or accumulating debt, is what is expected. However, the more you learn about financial literacy and money management, the more you realize that money is a tool that can help you achieve your goals. Finance is a passion of mine, and with this knowledge, I am dedicated to helping those around me understand and embrace their finances.”

The event will be held in the Irvin L Young Memorial Library’s Community Room located at 431 W. Center Street in Whitewater. There is no cost or registration and the public is invited to attend.
