Hefty Named Academic All-State for Cross Country

Jack Hefty

Freshman Jack Hefty received his first academic all-state award this week after the WCCCA (Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association) clinic was hosted in Brookfield. Jack had a stellar freshman season that included a second team all-conference honor as well as racing his best race of the season at the WIAA Sectional Meet to earn a trip to the WIAA State CC Meet this past fall. Jack adds his name to the long list of Whippet Cross Country Student-Athletes that perform at a high level in the classroom.

The criteria to earn this award from the WCCCA is to have raced in the state meet and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Congratulations, Jack!
